Sub Report Creation

Note:
You can’t use 2 dataset’s in single table. Also   You can create Sub Report. Sub Report can use another dataset.

Sub Report:

Sub Report can be used for displaying the values of another dataset. You can’t pass the values of sub report to parent report.

The end report just like a normal report, one difference is if you are using single report, you can only use one dataset in a data control. But if you drag a sub-report into a report, there are two different dataset in one data control, it will be more flexible. Also, it’s easier to create a report with complicated design
Whenever you need to use more than two datasets, use sub-report.

To Add a sub-report,
Step 1 : Report1 contains dataset1. Report2 contains dataset2.

      Step 2 : Report2.

            It has 4 parameters.

Step 3 : Add sub report(Report2) to Report1. Select report for sub-report.

Step 4 : Add parameters for sub report.

1.     In report2, we don’t want to add a parameter values. It will pass from report1.

Note:
Before you adding sub-report to report. You have to run that report(added in sub-report).
